Empowering Women, Breaking the Cycle of Violence
At Yara Shea Beauty, we are deeply committed to supporting women, fostering safe communities, and combating gender inequality. Our Domestic Violence Program focuses on breaking the cycle of abuse and mitigating gender-based violence. In Nigeria, we work in communities and schools addressing domestic violence issues through intergenerational dialogue and offer critical assistance to victims of domestic violence, helping them access necessary support services to rebuild their lives. By addressing the needs of abuse survivors, we aim to restore dignity, empower individuals, and create lasting change for future generations to thrive.
Clean Water Program
Fighting for Clean Water Access in Rural Communities
At Yara Shea Beauty, we are dedicated to bringing safe and clean drinking water to rural communities. By building wells and boreholes in the areas of greatest need and introducing innovative purification tablets, we ensure that local water sources are transformed into clean, drinkable water. We believe water is life, and our mission is to ensure that every child grows healthy and every community can thrive. Entrepreneurship Skills Development
To support our entrepreneurs as they launch their first businesses, we provide extensive business skills and financial literacy training designed for participants who have limited or no formal education.
The interactive training materials are led by our business mentors and use an approachable, visual, and concise format which focuses on learning by doing. The in-person lessons are delivered through a mixture of instruction, videos, and hands-on sessions.
The curriculum is designed to be holistic and includes modules around sustainability, goal-setting, family support, group dynamics, and leadership skills. Sustainability training ensures that new business activities promote environmental best practices, while leadership and life skills components of our training ensure greater gender equity.

Increase Access to Menstrual Supplies

Shatter Stigma Through Education
Providing timely, factual information about Sexual Reproductive Health, puberty, and menstruation can lead to increased body literacy, a healthy public perception of menstruation, and decreased stigma and shame.
Pad4Girls Drive – RedDrop Campaign
Creating and distributing period packs in schools and communities is a great way to start combating period poverty. Yara Shea Beauty partners with schools and corporations who are interested in this initiative, creating period packs with all the required materials for 1 menstrual cycle and we distribute them in schools and communities. We’re dedicated to educating people about the need, collecting/distributing products, and advocating for systemic change.
